Term: This is a one-year renewable position, confirmed during the membership renewal

process in September each year. Multi-year membership is encouraged.

Responsibilities:

● Support the mission of Science Atlantic and adhere to the organization’s policies and

Code of Conduct.

● Participate in discussion and activities that support the mission of Science Atlantic.

● Be listed on the committee’s web page and mailing list.

● Attend annual on-campus representatives meeting hosted by the Dean, and share

information with campus representatives from other disciplines.

● Post the annual Science Atlantic conference poster in their department (received from

the Dean’s office in September).

● Post their individual representative poster on their office door (downloaded from the

members’ welcome page), and be available for inquiries.

● Encourage students to attend the annual conference.

● Represent their university to their committee throughout the year (not just at the

conference).

● Attend the annual conference or identify a representative on behalf of the university to

attend.

● Attend committee meetings (at conference and also typically one virtual meeting/year)

● Contribute to discussions on the committee mailing list.

● Receive the Science Atlantic Minutes and share information with their department.

● Promote Science Atlantic initiatives to colleagues within their department.
